Reflecting on a Year of Incredible Art Adventures

A rare selfie… This was taken at Hotel Hartness right before the opening night at the Art Room Greenville’s Fall show. The show was a big highlight of my year!

Hello, art friends!

As we bid farewell to 2023, I am thrilled to take you on a trip down memory lane, reflecting on the amazing memories and milestones that have marked my art adventure this past year.

I'm not one for selfies, but the joy on my face couldn't help but shine through as I thought about the wonderful experiences this year has brought me. Here’s a list of some of my favorites!

1. Solo Gallery Show: My art adventure kicked off with my first solo gallery show at ACES in Wilmington in February. Seeing my work showcased was an unforgettable experience. I met so many amazing Wilmingtonians!

2. Local Business Collaborations: This summer, my art was on display at Salty Turtle Beer, Hello Love, and End of Days Distillery. It was an honor to collaborate with these local businesses that support artists so passionately.

3. Gallery Acceptance: The joy continued as I was accepted into two more galleries - Eclipse Artisan Boutique and Locals Gallery. Each collaboration has been a unique and enriching experience that has added so much to my artistic journey.

4. Fine Art Prints: I ventured into making my own archival fine art prints in my studio. It required extensive research and development, but the results were worth every minute. Offering high-quality, affordable prints has been a rewarding addition to my online shop. .

5. Plein Air Painting: Some of my favorite moments were spent painting en plein air with my favorite human, my sister Heidi. I also hosted two painting classes, with plans to host more in 2024.

6. Mentorship: My mentor and adopted big brother, Jeff Boutin, has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation. His encouragement led me to take on new challenges, such as painting a beautiful whale. More of these exciting projects are on the horizon!

7. Art Show Success: I was thrilled to be accepted into the Art Room Greenville's Fall show. Sharing my work with the incredible art community in Greenville, SC, was an absolute honor, and having 16 pieces sell in just three days was mind-blowing!

As we embark on the journey into 2024, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all my collectors, galleries, followers, and cheerleaders. Your support fuels my passion and creativity.
