Igniting the Horizon: The Launch of the Fiery Skies Collection

The short version: Announcing the release of the ‘Fiery Skies’ collection, a series of paintings inspired by the awe-inspiring beauty of sunrises and sunsets shared by my Facebook community. Join us for the collection's online release on February 8th and the Brushstrokes and Bites Art Open House on February 10th for an immersive experience of art, refreshments, and community. The longer version: As the sun dips below the horizon, it leaves in its wake a tapestry of colors that has long captivated artists and dreamers alike. It's this mesmerizing dance of dusk and dawn that has inspired my latest body of work, the Fiery Skies collection. This series is more than a group of paintings; it's a celebration of the sky's fleeting beauty, a testament to the moments that leave us in awe.

The start of the Fiery Skies collection lies in the very essence of inspiration—the shared experiences and images that connect us all. I owe a heartfelt thank you to my wonderful community of Facebook followers, whose stunning photographs of sunrises and sunsets have been the sparks that set this collection alight. Your contributions have each brought me so much creativity, each photo so full of color and light that they demanded to be translated onto canvas. By December I was fairly burned out after my busiest year as a professional artist to date. Your pictures and words of encouragement really did help me to ignite my inner creative fire, and I hope the pieces show my gratitude!

Each piece in the Fiery Skies collection is an exploration of the unique colors that only the beginning and end of each day can provide. Using a palette knife to layer and texture, I've tried to capture not just the visual splendor of the sky's display but the emotions that such a sight can evoke. These paintings are as much about the internal as they are about the external—the reflection of our innermost feelings in the vastness of the sky.

I am thrilled to invite you to the official release of the Fiery Skies collection, set to take place on February 8th at 10 am. But the celebration doesn't end there. I'm also excited to announce Brushstrokes and Bites, an art open house, which will take place on Saturday, February 10th, from 11 am to 4 pm. This event will be an opportunity to experience the Fiery Skies collection in person, to engage with each work in a space that complements the art's vibrancy. Join us for an afternoon of art appreciation, delectable bites, and refreshing sips. Any pieces sold online will be on view at the open house. Fine art prints will also be available for purchase as well as a selection of other original pieces.
